Locations
VAMC Grand Junction serves veterans on the western slope of Colorado, southeastern Utah, and southwestern Wyoming. In addition to our main medical center in Grand Junction, we offer a number of services to our patients in two community-based outpatient clinics.
Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.
Security
VAMC Grand Junction has a Police Service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial (970) 242-0731 ext. 2178. In case of an emergency, dial 911. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located at the Reception Desk on the first floor.
Chapel
A nondenominational chapel is located on the fourth floor of the Medical Center. Please contact the Chaplain at extension 2418 for additional information or to speak with him.
Public Transportation
Public transportation to or from the Medical Center is avilable through:
Grand Valley Transit * On bus route 9 use the stop at either North Avenue and 19th Street or North Avenue and Teller Arms Shopping Center.
